What is Coversyl?
Coversyl is classified by the FDA as an ACE inhibitor. Its active in ingredient is Perindopril. It works by blocking the action of Angiotensin Converting Enzyme (ACH) in the body. This medication produces angiotensin II which blocks ACH in the body thereby reducing blood pressure.
How Does Coversyl Help?
Coversyl is often used during the treatment of heart failure. This is a condition in which the heart does not pump sufficient blood into the blood vessels. Oxygen and other nutrients are carried through the blood. If blood does not reach the parts of the body it is supposed too then a break down occurs causing heart problems.
Coversyl works by improving blood pressure. When blood pressure is improved it can help to pull a patient our of heart failure. Precautions

Pregnant women are advised to avoid Coversyl. This medication is excreted in breast milk therefore nursing mothers are also advised to avoid using it.
Side Effects
Like all medications, when taking Coversyl you may experience some sight effects. Initially some patients have had headaches and dizziness. There have also been complaints of dry cough, constipation, indigestion, diarrhea, and abdominal pain. This drug should never be shared with others and only taken under the direct prescription and monitoring of a licensed physician.
